Delicious Rose Coffee Latte Recipe

by Mariana N., January 9, 2019

Happy New 2019! May it bring health, joy and more time to appreciate the little things - to stop and smell the roses!

Starting the year off with a rose-infused drink recipe that has been a favorite of mine over the last year (see it here and here) - a delicious, fragrant and easy Rose Latte! This one is made with coffee because this is how I love it, but there are many alternatives made with tea - or just milk - if coffee is not your drink of choice. Rose tea as a base would be lovely, too!

Ingredients Needed:

  1. An espresso or your favorite capsule coffee (I love a vanilla one as it is delicious with the rose flavor)
  2. 1/2 cup of steamed milk (I prefer whole), but have made it with almond milk too (if you prefer dairy-free) and it’s delicious
  3. 1/2 tea spoon of drinkable rose water or rose drops (in this recipe I used the latter - La Vie en Rose Organic Rose Drops from our summer box.)
  4. 1 teaspoon agave syrup (based on your preference - you can also use maple syrup or honey to sweeten)
  5. Edible dried rose petals to top and decorate - For this recipe, I used the Damascena rose petals I brought back from my trip to Bulgaria this summer, but I also like and have used in the past the ones from Rose Dose.

  1. Make the espresso / coffee.
  2. Add the rose water / rose drops to the coffee.
  3. Froth the steamed milk and add to the coffee (tip: good, thick froth is essential and makes a huge difference!)
  4. Top with a splash of agave and edible rose petals. It’s also delicious sprinkled with cocoa powder!

Enjoy as a morning or afternoon drink!

Suggestion: You can boil the milk with the rose water and add additional spices to your liking, such as cardamom, vanilla or cocoa. Experiment and have fun!
