Discovering: Rosemira Organics' Bella Rose I-Renew Eye Cream and Beauty Revitalizing Serum

by Mariana, October 9, 2017

Always on the lookout for clean and cruelty-free*, effective, rose-infused beauty, I stumbled across Rosemira Organics by chance and was immediately intrigued by the story of the founder Dr. Mira Herman and her formulations, many featuring rose essential oil. After spending an hour on the phone with Mira, talking about her passion for botanical formulations, for creating her products with a focus on the relationship between the ingredients, and our shared passion for roses and rose oil, I knew I had to try some of her rose-infused creations. While I had a chance to try a few of Rosemira’s products, this review is focused on a rose-infused duo that I find especially beneficial for nourishing, and rejuvenating the skin as the seasons change and the weather becomes cooler – the  Bella Rose I-Renew Eye Cream and the Beauty Revitalizing Serum**, both of which are part or Rosemira's Moroccan Rose Essentials collection.

I was most excited to try the Bella Rosa I-Renew Eye Cream – the reviews were raving and, I am always on the lookout to find an eye cream that effectively hydrates this delicate area and helps with fine lines. Infused with a rose essential oil blend (both organic Rosa Damascena and organic Rosa Centifolia oils) and Chinese pearl powder, plus pharmaceutical-grade lanolin, the Bella Rosa I-Renew Eye Cream promised just that - to help regenerate, smooth and tighten the delicate skin around the eyes.

I’ve used it for ten days every night and am extremely pleased with the results. I like the consistency, color, and how smooth, silky and rich the cream applies on. A little goes a long way, so I use it sparingly at night and wake up with visibly more rested-looking skin under my eyes, that feels softer, plump and definitely less tight. The cream is rich and super hydrating, almost too rich to use in the am, though I did try it under my makeup and it held up great (not greasy). Some might find the scent a bit on the strong side, but nothing too overpowering. This is definitely a keeper in my fall / winter skincare routine.

The other Rosemira rose-infused product I absolutely fell in love with is the Beauty Revitalizing Serum. Combining a high concentration of Rosa Damascena flower oil and Rosehip Seed oil with other high-powered botanicals, such as Sea Buckthorn Berry, Evening Primrose, Borage Seed and Carrot oils, this serum is packed with vitamin C and promises to revitalize, moisturize and rejuvenate the skin.

With the serums that I choose to use, I’m always looking for a complete sensorial experience, so the scent is as important to me as the performance. I really like the deep and calming aroma of this Beauty serum. I would describe it as both floral (I can definitely detect the rose there, but nothing too sweet) and herbal, deep but not too strong. It also has a beautiful, dark caramel-honey color. The serum is on the thicker and more substantial side in terms of consistency, but applies easily and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I've used this every other night and I could feel my combination skin more deeply hydrated and smooth compared to the lighter serum I typically use.

So, if you are looking to add a more deeply-hydrating and nourishing rose-infused serum / eye cream duo to your skincare routine as the seasons change, I would highly recommend giving Rosemira’s Beauty Rejuvenating Serum and Bella Rose I-Renew Eye Cream a try.

Finally, stay tuned here as we partnered with Mira for a special giveaway of a full-size Beauty Rejuvenating Serum (a $52 value) for one lucky winner.
